Have a happy New Year

The cold weather continues, but how are you all doing? While I was busy with my last job for the year, I splendidly caught a cold and had a terribly rough time (laugh). I finished the job the other day, so now I'm hazily recuperating.

I was put in charge of the cover and the leadoff for the GOLD issue coming out at the end of this month. I'm very grateful.

Speaking of the cover, it seems like it could be controversial, but I feel great after drawing my heart out. Well, if you want to know what I'm talking about, that's something to look forward to.

I can't talk much about the story either before it's released, so I'll hold back, but for this one I've spent more time than usual on working out the plot. Because of that, there were too many scenes I wanted to insert, so I struggled with putting it all together, but I was able to arrive at what I think is a good spot. Please look forward to the story too!

Now then, it seems that next year will be GOLD's 20th anniversary. When I was first approached by Libre (formerly Biblos), that was just about the time that GOLD's first issue came out, so that means my relationship with GOLD is also about to reach 20 years... That fills me with deep emotion, as well as horror at having grown that much older (laugh).

It looks like the magazine has a lot of projects planned for the anniversary issue and the issue before that. I may also be doing some signed shikishis or something, so please try applying.

Besides the magazine, I think this will be my last greetings for the year. Thank you very much for your support this year. Thanks to all of you, I was able to get my works done. I'll do my best again next year to write something that you'll enjoy! Please give me your support!

The cold weather will still continue. Please take care of yourselves and have a happy New Year.
